Stabbing Suspect Arrested

STABBING SUSPECT ARRESTED

On Saturday September 21, 2019 at approximately 8:15 PM, officers from the Coalinga Police Department, were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Ivy Street on the report of stabbing. As the officers arrived on scene, they contacted 48-year-old Norwalk resident, Frank Porraz who was sitting in a chair with a 3 cm (one inch) stab wound to his left abdomen.

Officers continued to investigate the case and was able to identify the suspect as 47-year-old Coalinga Resident Ramon Ochoa Guerrero. On Tuesday October 1, 2019, officers observed a male subject sittingStabbingIvy in the passenger seat of a passing vehicle. Officers contacted the subjects in the vehicle and identified the front passenger as Guerrero. Guerrero was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Coalinga Police Department for booking.

Guerrero was interviewed and denied stabbing Porraz and stated he wasn’t aware Porraz was stabbed until he returned to the Ivy Street address. Guerrero was booked on charges of Assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder. Porraz is has been in critical condition and fighting for his life.
