Fresno Zoo is finally reopening after being closed as of March 19 when California’s Governor Gavin Newsom, closed California. Fresno Chaffee Zoo will be opened beginning Friday from 9 AM – 6 PM.
Fresno Chaffee Zoo CEO, Scott Barton, made the announcement during a zoom meeting Wednesday morning with press and the Fresno County Department of Public health.

Barton encouraged the public to visit the zoo’s website to learn about special news and information about activities and visits to the zoo because of Covid 19. https://www.fresnochaffeezoo.org/
Number of zoo visitors limited. Those interested in visiting the zoo are encouraged to buy tickets online to allow for scheduling. if you buy your tickets online, it will help ensure you can come into zoo.
“Bring a mask,” said Barton. “You don’t have to wear it all the time, but when you need to, you need to.”
