Tuesday’s game against Chowchilla was a grappling battle on the court. With the crowd’s deafening roar, signals and communication was difficult but the toads pulled off a win due to their tenacity, passion and honed skills.
Starting off with a slow burn, the score was wrong side up 20:22 at the end of the first half. When the toads returned to the court after half-time, their resolve was fortified and they immediately began to show their ability to dominate. Both defenses were vigorous.
Every score brought fans to their feet and every foul was equally noted. When the final buzzer sounded, the crowd wen
t completely bonkers with cheering, singing, waving, leaping from seats, hugging and even tears.
It was a memorable evening of community spirit and school pride.
