Never Lift half mile races were held last weekend at the new Coalinga airport on Phelps Avenue east of Coalinga.
This McLaren (above) was one of many beautiful cars that zipped past the grandstands at speeds near and over 200 MPH.
Coalinga residents received free entrance for two coupons in Coalinga Press for two weeks, making it a free, fun, family event. 
Spectators came from all over the US to watch the races or participate. The Lamborghini above appears to be standing still but in reality it is whizzing along at 193.21 MPH.
