Suspicious Person Seen Near Centennial Park

Rumors spread across social media and phone calls Monday afternoon when a man was seen acting strangely.

On Monday, June 1, at about 2pm, Officers were dispatched to the Posa Chanet subdivision, near the area of Centennial Park. According to a phone call, a suspicious male adult chasing two juvenile females.

The girls said they were at the park when the saw the man in the area. When the male subject saw them, they said he began to walk towards them. The juveniles said they began running the male then began “jogging” towards them. The male subject then turned around after “jogging” after them into the neighborhood for about a block and went back towards the park. The juveniles stated the male never said anything to them.

The girls described the subject as a white male adult wearing an orange sleeveless shirt with the words “Fresno County Jail” on it. The Fresno County Jail and the Pleasant Valley State Prison were both contacted and both stated they have not had any escapes. The Pleasant Valley State Prison went so far as to conduct and emergency count of their inmates with none being unaccounted for. The Fresno County Jail stated that they do not issue orange shirts to their inmates.
