Blair Removed From Lemoore Council

At this time, Holly Blair is no longer a Lemoore City Council member.  Lemoore City Council moved to remove Blair for violating the council’s rules on attendance after missing five straight meetings.

Blair is currently being held in the Kings County Jail. She has been arrested twice in the past month. This has initiated significant legal challenges.

Blair was first arrested following a bizarre speed chase through the Lemoore City Police Department’s parking lot. The harrowing chase through neighborhoods ended only when Blair was surrounded. One of her children was in the vehicle at the time.

Her second arrest came about when her husband, Paul Blair, contacted police about domestic violence in the home, and a credible threat in which Holly Blair threatened to kill her husband.

The Lemoore Leader was first to report the news of Blair’s vacated seat on Tuesday night, thanks to Ed Martin who works for that media agency.

Lemoore’s City Council rules state that if Council members may be removed from their seats by the rest of the Council if they miss five consecutive meetings “without good cause.”

There are now two vacanies on Lemoore City Council. Chad Billingsley also served for his last meeting. Billingsley and his family are moving to Colorado for a new job there.

The City of Lemoore will be accepting applications for the pair of vacant seats. They hope to being able to appoint new members by its next meeting on August 6.

Blair is scheduled to have a pre-trial conference to set a preliminary hearing in front of Kings County Superior Court Judge Randy Edwards, also on August 6.
