Coalinga’s animal shelter on West Elm Street is now being run by Gimme Love, run by two local Coalinga residents who have had an animal rescue for years up the canyon.
Started by Lori and George Anderson, Gimme Love was started to help the innocent animals in Coalinga, CA. Focusing mainly on cats, Lori has been rescuing for 30+ years and decided to make it official with a 501(c)(3) granted in 2019. “Animals are our mission,” said Lori. “Our focus is to help as many homeless, helpless, and abandoned animals as possible. We look to provide a safe, loving environment for all animals that cross our path.” “We are as strong as the community that holds us up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let’s bring our abilities and passions together.
“There are many ways to join us and support our mission. Contact us to find out more about volunteer opportunities, events, and ways that you can get our message to your friends and family.
Our volunteer form can be found on our website.
If you know of an animal need of help or have any questions just give us a call! We’re happy to help.
