Fresno Man Arrested With Loaded Gun

On November 16, 2020, at approximately 12:15 am Coalinga Police Officer’s Ybarra his K-9 partner Eli and Officer Cano, conducted a traffic stop, in the 200 block of E Elm Avenue. Officers stopped a 2019 black Ford Fusion for expired registration. During the traffic stop the officers were informed that the male driver, identified as 27-year-old Fresno resident, Shaquali Marshe Odom had a suspended driver license for driving under the influence.

Shaquali Odom was arrested for driving on a suspended driver license. Officers began to inventorying Odom’s vehicle incident to arrest and prior to it being towed at which time they located a loaded 9mm handgun in a open gym bag that was in plain view. The gun was loaded with 9mm hollow point ammunitions and had an additional loaded magazine in the vehicle as well.

Shaquali Odom was also found to be a prior felon and was charged with, felon in possession of a loaded firearm and felon in possession of ammunition. He was booked at the Coalinga Police Department and he was later transported to Fresno County Jail on additional charges.
