Firearms Recovered after Search Warrant in Huron
On Friday April 3, 2020, Coalinga Police Officers with the assistance of MAGEC, served a search warrant in the 3000 block of S. Lassen Ave., in the city of Huron. Officers obtained information along with photographs of 24-Year-old, Huron resident, Jonathan Espinoza who is a convicted felon and on active CDCR Parole in possession of firearms. Jonathan was contacted after leaving the apartment and was taken into custody.
MAGEC officers executed the search warrant in Huron. MAGEC officers made entry and cleared the apartment at which time 21-year-old Roman Espinoza, was contacted and detained. Coalinga officers entered the apartment and began to search. During the search of the apartment, three handguns were located along with two AR-15 rifles with scopes and over 2,100 rounds of ammunition.
The firearms and ammunition were recovered, photographed and booked into evidence. Both Jonathan and Roman were arrested and transported to the Coalinga city jail where they were booked on weapons charges and parole violation. They will be transported to the Fresno County jail at a later time.
In a previous Press Release it mentioned, Edgar Espinoza was arrested. This information was not accurate and has been corrected.
