Advanced America Robbed

On Wednesday January 29, 2020, at approximately 4:10 pm, Officers were dispatched to Advanced America, located at 139 W Polk, on a report of robbery that had just occurred. The employee for the business reported a Hispanic male had entered the store and asked for a loan. The female employee stated after a brief conversation, the male subject pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.

The employee complied with the suspects demands and after obtaining the money, the male subject fled the business towards Elm Avenue. Officers were on scene within one minute of being dispatched to the call and immediately started canvassing the area as the employee was contacted by the primary officer.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 to 35 years old, last seen wearing a red shirt, with a black zip up sweatshirt, Khaki pants, a black ball cap, sunglasses and three moles on the right side of his face. The police department obtained a photograph of the suspect inside the store.
